Kate

I’m Kate Maddox — owner of Babe Salon.

I’m a former Hollywood stylist turned Oregon salon owner, mom of two wild toddlers, and wife to a lovable metalhead. I was born in the Bay Area but have called Oregon home for the past 17 years.

I love ghost stories, true crime, and, did I mention ghost stories?

My goal with Babe is to create a warm, safe, and inclusive space where good hair and good vibes go hand in hand. I’ve built a team of funny, kind, and talented stylists who want to be part of something special.

Bri Summer

Hi, I’m your hairstylist Bri Summer! Hair is a magical way for me to express myself and share it with others. I love to blend your personal style with your hair goals for the perfect custom color and cut! In my 14 years as a professional hairstylist I’ve focused on versatility, which has allowed me to evolve, problem solve and offer a broad range of creativity to those in my chair. Whether that’s bright blonde, rich reds, dimensional balayage, vivids or grey blending-- I'll take you there and make sure it grows out flawlessly. How your hair looks in three months is just as important to me as how it looks on day one! My perfect client enjoys getting their hair washed, uses hair products like it’s homework, and isn’t afraid of bangs. 

I grew up on the California coast and spent most of my adult life living in the Bay Area. When I’m not in the salon, I’m a total outside girlie! You'll find me chasing waterfalls and hiking trails, traveling, or sitting in a slice of Oregon sunshine with my face in a fantasy book. I’m a total food snob so new restaurants or recipes give me life, and I’d love your best recommendation. My newest obsession is my adopted diva son Birkin-- a tiny 8lb Pomeranian with an attitude that I miss when I’m away.

I’m originally from Asheville, NC, and I’ve been doing hair for 15 years. I specialize in bold color, creative cuts, and cute lil shags that feel a little undone in the best way. I’m big on helping people find a look that feels like them, not just whatever’s trending.

I’m obsessed with color theory, a sucker for good bangs, and I’ll always say yes to something a little weird or fun. I love working with clients who aren’t afraid to try something new—or who just want a fresh version of what already works.

Allie

I'm a razor cutting specialist with 15 years of experience in the industry. I specialize in working with fine hair with curl patterns 2a-3a. (Which means everything from straight to soft curls.) I have received professional training in the use of straight razors to create effortless air-dried shags and more. I believe in working with your hair's natural texture, rather than against it.

When I'm not at the salon, you'll find me floating the river with the girls, deep into a new book obsession, or hunting down something cute I absolutely don't need.

I’m a native Oregonian, grew up in Silverton, and made Portland my home. I’m a mom to a thriving, wild, little boy & a sweet, gray lady-cat. And I’m excited to marry my sweetie this summer! I love horror movies, spooky-scary podcasts, Lifetime-quality thriller books, and I ugly-cry at every episode of Shrinking. My house plants are always on the brink of death while my garden thrives.

Born to create Art with hair, I have poured myself into mastering hair-color, and I offer a range of hair extension offerings to enhance your beauty & expression. I loooove a juicy red, a sunny, ocean-inspired blonde, and an all-out whimsical vivid!

I’ve been doing hair for 17 years starting out in Seattle before realizing that Portland is better.  My goal is to create ease, style and longevity in every service. I love to educate my clients on how to get the most out of their hair at home. I love puzzles so bring me your challenges with your hair and we can work on it together. I love to ask questions as I go and I hope you do too. 

When I’m not behind the chair you can find me on a patio, in the river or being cozy on the couch with my dogs. Give me swimming hole recs - I won’t tell!
