Hi, I’m Kate Maddox — owner of Babe Salon.
I’m a former Hollywood stylist turned Oregon salon owner, mom of two wild toddlers, and wife to a lovable metalhead. I was born in the Bay Area but have called Oregon home for the past 17 years.

I love ghost stories, true crime, and—did I mention ghost stories?

My goal with Babe is to create a warm, safe, and inclusive space where good hair and good vibes go hand in hand. I’ve built a team of funny, kind, and talented stylists who want to be part of something special.

Hi, I’m Tiggz!
I specialize in curls, waves, shags, and mullets—with a focus on low-maintenance cuts that grow out beautifully and feel effortless. I believe your hair should support your life, not become it. If it’s not something I’d do on myself, I won’t expect you to do it either.

I love all things ‘60s and ‘70s, hearts, leopard print, and punk.

When I’m not behind the chair, I’m probably outside enjoying the sun (when we have it), spinning records, or hanging out with my chiweenie, Esther.

Hey, I’m Cara. I’m originally from Asheville, NC, and I’ve been doing hair for 15 years. I specialize in bold color, creative cuts, and cute lil shags that feel a little undone in the best way. I’m big on helping people find a look that feels like them, not just whatever’s trending.

I’m obsessed with color theory, a sucker for good bangs, and I’ll always say yes to something a little weird or fun. I love working with clients who aren’t afraid to try something new—or who just want a fresh version of what already works.

Stylist + Colorist

Bri is back! Our girl is a California native and couldn't wait to return to Portland after some time away. With fourteen years of experience mostly coming from San Francisco and Oakland, her clients love her easy going personality and intuitive approach to their hair. She can't wait to take you from high maintenance to low maintenance color (trust, you will love it!). All kinds of bangs, balayage, sun kissed dimension, red/copper, and grey blending are amongst her specialties. She certainly doesn't shy away from a challenge so bring her your hair woes! 

When she's not working her magic in the salon you will find her chasing the Oregon sunshine, hiking, reading fantasy or chillin with her pals. She's obsessed with her plants, new restaurants and traveling with her guy.

Stylist + Colorist

Hello! I'm Allie, a razor cutting specialist with 15 years of experience in the industry. I specialize in working with fine hair with curl patterns 2a-3a. (Which means everything from straight to soft curls.) I have received professional training in the use of straight razors to create effortless
air-dried shags and more. I believe in working with your hair's natural texture, rather than against it.

When I'm not at the salon, you'll find me floating the river with the girls, deep into a new book obsession, or hunting down something cute I absolutely don't need.
